Do I need to make an appointment for a tire repair or replacement?

While we welcome walk-ins and always do our best to get you back on the road fast, making an appointment or calling ahead at (423) 375-0555 ensures the fastest turnaround time. If you need a highly specific commercial or agricultural tire size, calling ahead allows us to verify stock or pre-order it for you.

Can you repair a punctured tire, or will I always need a replacement?

It depends entirely on the location and severity of the damage. If a nail or screw punctures the tread area of a passenger or truck tire and the hole is less than 1/4 inch in diameter, we can safely patch and plug it. However, punctures to the sidewall or shoulder of the tire cannot be safely repaired and will require a replacement for your safety.

How do I know if I need new tires or just a rotation?

We recommend bringing your vehicle by our Old Fort shop for a quick inspection. Generally, you need new tires if your tread depth falls below 2/32 of an inch, if you notice uneven balding, or if the sidewalls show cracking or bulging. If your tread is wearing down but still safe, a tire rotation can help balance out the wear and extend the lifespan of your current set.
